Having been involved with the KMC since its inception in the early 1990s I have recently learnt that there has been little to no activity in the Food Bank.
It is my sole intention to rectify the situation and that will necessitate your assistance.
Over the last few years the number of people who are dependant on food assistance to survive has increased beyond belief. The people who are reliant on help are not asking for a choice of menu but basically something to eat. This does not only apply to adults but to children of all ages as the number needing help has increased by some 40%+ over the last few years.
Any donation is welcomed, here are a few ideas below.
Tinned Tomatoes/Beans/Soup/Fruit/Fish/Meat
Packet Rice/Pasta/Oats/Mash
Cereals/Tea/Coffee/Sugar
Long life milk/juice/custard
Any toiletries
I will collect from KMC on the 4th Friday of every month what has been delivered and take it to the collection point in Lode Lane, Solihull. This will start from the beginning of September so my first collection will be on Friday 25th September .
In conclusion let US once again come to the front and help those in need.
If by chance you cannot donate a food parcel due to time, work load etc etc perhaps you might consider a monthly donation made to the KMC account, details below, registering your name and I will be pleased to keep you fully advised month by month of how the food bank is fairing.
Yours sincerely and fraternally,
W Bro Keith W Reynolds. PJGD

A tin of soup can look small on a kitchen shelf. In a food parcel, it can mean a hot meal at the end of a hard day, one less choice between heating and eating, or a little breathing room for a parent trying to stretch the last few pounds of the week.
